Seema Haider, a Pakistani citizen, entered India without a visa in May and has now submitted a mercy petition to the Indian President, appealing for permission to reside with her four children at her ‘matrimonial home’ in Greater Noida.
This plea coincides with ongoing investigations by both the Noida police and the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad.
During an interview, Seema expressed deep concern about her and her children’s safety if they were to return to Pakistan. She emphasized her role as a mother, stating that her primary focus is ensuring her children’s well-being.
Seema explained that her presence in India is driven by her love for someone named Sachin, while pointing out that she perceives Pakistan as a dangerous place for her due to circulating rumors about her. In an earnest appeal, she requested trust from the Indian authorities and the people, firmly asserting that she is telling the truth about her circumstances.
Seema Haider, a Pakistani national, entered India illegally through Nepal on May 13, raising suspicions due to similar border activities in the past. Hailing from Sindh province in Pakistan, she claimed to have connected with Meena through the online game PUBG in 2019-20. Their communication transitioned to platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram, eventually leading to a romantic relationship.
Haider’s primary reason for coming to India was to be with Sachin, who resides in Rabupura, Greater Noida. However, on July 4, she was arrested for her illegal entry into India, and Sachin was also taken into custody for harboring illegal immigrants. Nevertheless, they were granted bail by a local court on July 7, and since then, they have been living together in a residence in Rabupura, along with Seema’s four children.
Despite the ongoing investigation by Noida police regarding her illegal stay in India, Seema Haider has submitted a petition seeking permission to remain in India with Sachin Meena. The couple had been subjected to questioning by the Anti-Terrorist Squad of Uttar Pradesh Police for two days.
Seema has expressed her strong desire not to return to Pakistan and has stated her intent to stay with Sachin. She also claimed to have embraced Hinduism during her time in India. Haider firmly asserted that she and her children would not become a burden on India, promising to demonstrate herself as a law-abiding individual and not betray the trust placed in her.
