WhatsApp is currently in the process of developing a new feature that enables users to discreetly mention their preferred contacts in status updates. This forthcoming attribute on the Meta-owned application will offer users the ability to subtly reference individuals in their Status updates.
With this feature, whenever a contact is mentioned in a status update, a discreet notification will be sent solely to that individual, ensuring they promptly become aware of the mention. It’s crucial to note that this notification remains private, solely reaching the mentioned contacts to safeguard their privacy, as other users are unable to view these mentions.
According to WEB Meta Info, this feature aims to foster increased interaction among specific contacts, guaranteeing that significant updates or moments are promptly brought to the attention of the mentioned individuals through direct notifications. Moreover, since these mentions are private, they will not be visible in status updates, preserving their discreet nature and confinement to the intended.
In addition to this feature, WhatsApp’s swipeable Navigation Bar has been officially introduced. This innovative menu bar style, which has been in testing for nearly a year, aligns with Google’s Material Design guidelines, highlighting the app’s commitment to enhancing user experience, as reported by WABetaInfo.
