On Tuesday, the capital city was rattled by two more alleged cases of rape, as reported by the authorities. The first incident occurred in Hamdani Town, where an eight-year-old girl became the victim of sexual assault. The Shahzad Town police promptly registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the young girl was playing outside with her ten-year-old brother and other children when she suddenly went missing after briefly returning home. Her worried mother and other children from the neighborhood searched for her until they found her frightened on a nearby street. Upon being brought back home, she revealed to her mother that she had been sexually assaulted. Without delay, the mother informed the police, and the girl received immediate medical attention and care at the hospital.
Some neighbors reported witnessing two individuals fleeing the scene as the girl was being brought back home, providing crucial information that could be significant in the ongoing investigation.
The second incident occurred in Ghauri Town, where a woman seeking employment fell victim to sexual assault. The suspect lured her to his property office under the guise of offering her a job. Accompanied by a friend, the woman visited the office with hopes of securing work. Tragically, the suspect managed to convince her friend to leave the premises, leaving the woman vulnerable to the alleged rape.
