According to former Test cricketer Rashid Latif, who now works as a sports television analyst, Pakistan has been granted the opportunity to hold two matches in Lahore during the T20 Asia Cup 2022.
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced that Pakistan will be the host for four matches before the tournament proceeds to Sri Lanka. Teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Nepal, excluding India, will be visiting Pakistan for the Asia Cup. While India’s matches will be held in Sri Lanka, Pakistan is slated to have one group match against Nepal in their home country.
Latif’s tweet hints at the possibility of an additional match taking place in Lahore, which could potentially bring the total number of matches hosted by Pakistan to two.
