Suspension of PCB Director Usman Wahla has created big headlines in Pakistan cricket. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended Director International Cricket Usman Wahla. According to sources, he failed to take quick action over the match referee issue. Because of this delay, PCB decided to remove him from his post.
Earlier, Pakistan had already announced that they would not play further Asia Cup matches until the match referee was changed. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that a formal complaint was filed against referee Andy Pycroft. The complaint stated that the referee had violated the ICC Code of Conduct and MCC laws.
The chairman also said that the referee acted against the spirit of the game. PCB demanded the immediate removal of Andy Pycroft from Asia Cup duties. The suspension of PCB Director Usman Wahla shows that the board wants strict accountability in handling sensitive issues.
This major step highlights PCB’s firm stance on fair play and respect for cricket rules.
