The controversial case involving TikToker and singer Samina Parizad and a female police constable has taken another turn as new information from sources familiar with the matter sheds light on what may have happened before the dispute reached the police.
The case first surfaced earlier this week when Lady Constable Hina Mazhar filed an FIR at Qila Didar Singh Police Station, accusing the TikTok personality of drugging her, filming explicit videos and blackmailing her for months, according to police.
The complaint alleged that Mazhar had developed a friendly relationship with Parizad and once visited her residence in Muhalla Barkat Pura, where she was allegedly served a drink that made her semi-conscious before being injected with a narcotic substance. The constable told investigators that videos were allegedly recorded while she was unconscious and later used to blackmail her.
The FIR also claimed that the constable was confined inside a room for nearly a month, where she said she was threatened with the release of the videos and subjected to harassment.
Sources reveal possible background to dispute
However, sources familiar with the situation say the relationship between the TikToker and the constable may have been ongoing for some time before the conflict escalated.
According to these sources, the lady constable had reportedly been in close contact with the TikToker for a long time and had even supported her in various matters, including social media activities.
The sources further claim the relationship eventually deteriorated after personal differences and possible rivalry emerged, leading the constable to distance herself from the TikToker and step away from the association.
Allegations of blackmail after fallout
Sources suggest that following the separation, tensions escalated when the TikToker allegedly threatened to release private videos, demanding that the previous relationship be restored.
Faced with what she described as blackmail and pressure, the constable reportedly approached authorities and decided to register the case.
Police later took Samina Parizad into custody, and the investigation began.
Digital evidence under scrutiny
During the investigation, police seized the accused’s mobile phone, where preliminary examination reportedly uncovered dozens of explicit videos involving multiple women, according to police sources.
Investigators are now analyzing the digital material to determine whether other victims may also have been targeted.
Authorities have registered the case under sections relating to sexual harassment, criminal intimidation, unlawful confinement, and use of intoxicating substances.
Debate over social media oversight
The case has sparked widespread debate about the darker side of influencer culture and the risks associated with social media relationships.
Experts say the rapid rise of online influencers on platforms like TikTok has created spaces where individuals can gain massive followings without adequate oversight or accountability.
Observers are now calling on law enforcement agencies and cybercrime authorities to strengthen monitoring mechanisms to prevent exploitation linked to social media platforms.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and more revelations may emerge as forensic analysis of digital evidence continues.
