According to Monday’s police reports, the capital city has experienced another incident of rape, marking the third occurrence within a week. The most recent incident took place at a guest house in F-7/4, where a man lured a girl under the false pretense of a job interview and subjected her to rape on two separate occasions. A case has been registered at the Kohsar police station.
The victim, who is the primary breadwinner for her family, had been in contact with the perpetrator for a year. He had promised to assist her in securing a better job and claimed to have arranged an interview for her on June 17. He picked her up from Faizabad and transported her to the guest house in F-7/4.
At around 10:00 pm, the man feigned conducting an interview before sexually assaulting her. Upon leaving the room, she returned to retrieve her belongings, including her phone. It was at this point that the man raped her again. Later, he dropped her off at Faizabad around 1:00 am after issuing threats.
In another reported incident, a woman from Sahiwal visited her niece’s house on Adiala Road following a dispute with her husband on June 13. She boarded a passenger vehicle from T-Chowk to Kutchery Chowk but was asked to disembark near Garden City due to the lack of other passengers.
At approximately 9:30 pm, three men in a car arrived and abducted her at gunpoint. They took her to a house where she was sexually assaulted by them at gunpoint. Later, four additional men arrived and also raped her. Eventually, she was released and subsequently filed a case at the Humak police station.
Similarly, on June 12, a girl in Banigala was subjected to rape at gunpoint. A case was filed at the Banigala police station. The victim reported that a man invited her under the pretense of discussing property matters and drove her towards Bahria Enclave. However, he then took her to a deserted area where he held her at gunpoint and raped her.
