OPPO A6 Pro launch in Pakistan offered a mix of excitement and challenges. Beyond the event’s ups and downs, the phone’s 7000mAh battery and 80W charging stood out for consumers.””

First things first — this is not a paid review. Unlike the trend these days, where a company sends a phone, it’s reviewed, and the reviewer repeats the exact features the client listed. Here at Khul Ke Bol, we’ve decided to call it as it is. The video will follow soon, but for now, here’s the written account.
The story began with a message from a PR agency, a sister concern of a big digital and advertising network: “OPPO’s new A-series phone is launching, please join us.” We’ve said it time and again — in today’s digital media landscape, nothing is free. Better to send a paid press release, so we can clearly categorize it as “PR Content” and readers know these are company claims, not independent reporting.
Anyway, after wrapping up an important meeting, my son Abdullah was with me, so we dropped by the launch event. Sadly, it was disappointing to see how even the sensitive world of media is now in the dealers’ and agencies’ hands. No brand manager showed up, nor did the agency folks bother with introductions.
At first glance, the phone looked like a decent mid-range option. The event itself kicked off late, and despite repeated announcements, attendees kept wandering around the hall instead of taking their seats. Still, credit where it’s due: Rana Ahsan, an experienced OPPO salesperson, delivered a strong presentation — he explained and showcased the features well.
A striking detail: OPPO’s new brand manager, a Chinese woman, appeared in traditional shalwar kameez, while OPPO Pakistan CEO George Long looked surprisingly sharp in kurta pajama. Both delivered short, crisp speeches.
Then came a tiring break. The crowd was so overwhelming that no one knew where the snacks disappeared. Luckily, we managed to grab some drinks — saving face in front of my son. What followed was a long, irrelevant prize distribution ceremony with little connection to the media.
When dinner was announced, chaos erupted. It looked less like a corporate event and more like a stampede on free goods.
On the way back, I bumped into Ali Bhai of MasTech and his colleague Yasir Khan. What an incredible human being — as great a person as he is a blogger. We headed for Lakshmi Chai, joined by Sarfaraz Ali from Pakistan Digital and Talal from TechJuice. Over Quetta Chai, the conversations flowed endlessly — Ali Bhai’s stories of the mobile industry and his personal journey were simply timeless. It felt like time itself should pause. But by half past midnight, with kids’ school the next morning, we had no choice but to call it a night.
OPPO A6 Pro – Features That Matter
- 7000mAh battery: lasts two full days on a single charge.
- 80W power charge: full battery in just minutes.
- Waterproof and AI features: in line with today’s demands.
- Processor: a bit underpowered but fine for daily use.
At a price of around PKR 80,000, the OPPO A6 Pro stands as a solid mid-range choice.
CEO’s Remark
George Long, CEO of OPPO Pakistan, said:
“Pakistani consumers value reliability and performance, and the OPPO A6 Pro delivers both in abundance. Its 7000mAh battery, reverse charging, and cooling system tested in 40°C heat make it a reliable partner for active lifestyles — all while offering the sleek, premium design OPPO is known for.”
Verdict
Yes, the event was marred by poor management and unnecessary chaos. But the OPPO A6 Pro itself — with its strong battery life and fast charging — emerges as a powerful option in the 80k range. The ultimate test now lies with the consumers: will its performance and price live up to expectations?
