Syed Urooj Samdani has been appointed as the Head of Department (HOD) for Media and Communication Studies at Rashid Latif Khan University (RLKU).
Urooj Samdani brings over thirty years of extensive experience in both print and electronic media, as well as in advertising and public relations, coupled with nearly fourteen years in academia.
Throughout his career, Urooj Samdani has held significant roles, including serving as the Head of the Film and TV Department at both Beaconhouse National University (BNU) and the Institute of Art and Culture (IAC).
Urooj is also recognized as one of the pioneering figures behind the establishment of major Pakistani media channels, including Geo TV, ARY Digital, and Waqt News.
In addition to his media roles, Urooj Samdani has worked as the Manager of Media and Public Relations at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.
His academic credentials include a specialization in Film and TV from the New University of Cinema and TV in Rome, Italy.
