Syed Noor and Saima ‘Ghunghat’ is a story that goes beyond cinema. Legendary director Syed Noor has now shared how he fell in love with Saima while filming his blockbuster Ghunghat. In his interview, he said that surprising casting twists not only changed the fate of the movie but also reshaped his personal life.
Originally, the lead roles were meant for Neeli and Noman Ijaz. Both actors left before production began. Their exit made way for Shaan and Saima, who later gave unforgettable performances. Distributors objected when Shaan was announced, even asking for refunds. But Noor stood firm. That choice turned out right as Shaan’s career rose after the release.
For the heroine, Neeli was the first pick. When she stepped away, Saima replaced her. She brought depth and elegance to the role. It was during those shooting days that Noor realized his growing affection for her. His feelings soon turned into love.
The success of Ghunghat not only built Shaan and Saima’s careers but also began a lifelong bond between the director and the actress. Noor admitted that his love story started on that set, which later led to their marriage.
