Rajab Butt shooting Incident. In a shocking incident, unknown attackers opened fire at the Lahore home of controversial YouTuber Rajab Butt on Thursday. According to Lahore police, two unidentified men on a motorcycle fired multiple shots at the house and quickly fled the scene. The shooting took place in the Chuhang area, which falls under the Chuhang Police Station’s jurisdiction.
Luckily, no one was inside the house at the time, so no injuries were reported. Police have launched an investigation and are currently checking CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the suspects.
The attack happened shortly after Rajab Butt became the center of a religious controversy. A citizen named Shehzada Adnan recently filed a legal complaint against him, accusing the YouTuber of using disrespectful language about the companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in one of his vlogs during Muharram.
The petitioner’s lawyer, Mudassar Chaudhry, informed the court that Rajab Butt’s comments had deeply offended religi Gyous sentiments. He also said a formal request for legal action had already been sent to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), but so far, no FIR has been registered.
Although the police have not confirmed whether the shooting is connected to the blasphemy allegations. And they are treating the matter seriously and continuing their investigation.
Rajab Butt, known for his bold and often controversial online content, has faced backlash in the past. Reports suggest that he may have already left Pakistan following the recent allegations.
