Sharjah Press Club urges the youth aged 10 to 17 to develop an interest and love for media careers.
The Sharjah Press Club (SPC) of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) hosted the first Ithmaar Forum for graduates of its Ithmaar media training program at the University of Sharjah.
Ithmaar, an annual initiative dedicated to training children and young people aged 10 to 17, aims to build their media capabilities and awareness.
The SPC, operating under SGMB, maintains communication with Ithmaar graduates, involving them in media activities to further their skills. The Forum featured “World of Ithmaar,” showcasing graduates’ experiences in media roles such as television presenting, radio programming, and photography. Interactive sessions like ‘mind games’ and ‘media trends’ allowed students to brainstorm and discuss ideas.
Since its inception, Ithmaar has trained 114 young individuals through 104 hours of instruction across 33 topics, delivered by 41 expert trainers from prominent media institutions.
