Sharjah Police has arrested an Arab national involved in a ‘fraud’ where he lured women with enticing offers for home massage services at discounted rates through a social media platform.
Sharjah resident Arab man’s ulterior motive was to blackmail and threaten these women into giving him money. The origins of this case trace back to when the police received information via their operations center, alerting them to the activities of a male suspect in his forties.
This individual was advertising unauthorized massage services on “Snapchat” for a mere Dhs100.
Upon verifying this information, specialized law enforcement teams set up a sting operation, swiftly moving in and apprehending the suspect in the act. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to his crimes, leading to the case being forwarded to the appropriate authorities for further action.

Sharjah Police issued an appeal to all citizens, urging them to play their part in upholding security and stability through social responsibility. They encouraged cooperation with law enforcement agencies and advised individuals to report any suspicious behavior or violations of the law to the Najid Service at (800151).
In the unfortunate event of falling victim to fraud or threats, individuals were advised to contact (065943228) or reach out to specialized teams via WhatsApp at (0559992158).
Additionally, the police called on anyone with information related to criminal activities or incidents to share it through the toll-free number (80040).
