A fire that broke out at Khorfakkan Port following falling debris has been brought under control, authorities confirmed late Sunday, as emergency teams swiftly contained the situation and secured the area.
According to the Sharjah Government Media Office, the incident occurred after air defense systems successfully intercepted projectiles, resulting in debris سقوط داخل port premises, which triggered a fire. Rapid response units were deployed immediately, extinguishing the blaze and initiating cooling operations to prevent further danger.
Officials said one Nepalese national sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical treatment. Meanwhile, three Pakistani nationals suffered minor to moderate injuries and were treated accordingly.
Authorities stressed that the situation is now fully under control, with no ongoing threat to port operations or nearby communities.
