Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has once again found himself at the center of a threatening incident. A ransom call was made directly to the police station in Bandra, Mumbai, originating from Raipur, demanding a hefty ₹50 lakh from the actor. The Mumbai Police have registered a case, with a team now in Chhattisgarh, where they are tracing the source of the call. The accused, identified as a young man named Faizan, is believed to have made the threat using an active phone number.
This latest threat comes on the heels of a similar one in October 2023, following the massive success of Shah Rukh’s films, Pathaan and Jawan. At the time, the actor was given a Y+ security detail, which includes six armed personnel providing round-the-clock protection—an upgrade from the two security guards who previously accompanied him.
Shah Rukh is not the only Bollywood star facing such threats. Salman Khan has also been repeatedly targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with death threats and demands for ransom. Just days ago, a 32-year-old man from Rajasthan was arrested in Karnataka for issuing a threat to Salman Khan, showing the extent to which threats are plaguing the industry. Despite these challenges, both stars have shown resilience in the face of danger, with law enforcement working diligently to protect them.
