Saad has spent the last 15 years documenting the human element as a reporter and photojournalist. His work has been published in TIME, Al Jazeera, Esquire Middle East, Foreign Policy, Courrier International, Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Roads & Kingdoms, Herald (Dawn), Forbes Life, The Hindu, The News on Sunday, The Friday Times, Vogue India, Verve India and NowThis.
After a decade-long stint as Desk Editor with leading progressive English newspapers, the Daily Times and The Friday Times, Saad has established his forte as one of the leading photojournalists of Pakistan, with work being licensed to Getty Images and Corbis.
Saad is also a multi-percussionist for Pakistan’s only percussion band, Quadrum, and has played more than 500 live concerts in Pakistan and abroad.
He is also a filmmaker and has shot production stills for the Pakistani film Shah, and is currently working on a documentary that highlights issues with Pakistan’s judicial system.
With an MA in Global Journalism from the University of Sheffield and an MPhil in Public Policy from the Forman Christian College in Lahore, he also teaches photojournalism at festivals and journalism institutes, including a TEDx talk on photography as a medium in 2013.
