Rosie Parkyn new executive director at The Guardian Foundation. She will officially join the charity in mid-February, taking charge of promoting press freedom and supporting liberal journalism. Her appointment marks an exciting step for both Rosie and the Foundation.
Before this role, Rosie worked at Internews Europe. She served as Senior Director of Programmes and Global Director of Impact. During her time at Internews, she led major initiatives, supported journalists worldwide, and strengthened digital safety and security. She also held trustee positions at Orchestras for All and CDAC Network, and has been a Fellow at The RSA for over 16 years.
Rosie Parkyn new executive director brings extensive skills in organizational leadership, program management, and strategic communications. She is also experienced in research, community development, fundraising, donor engagement, and project management. Her expertise ensures she can lead complex programs and drive meaningful impact in journalism and public information.
