Punjab has made history by introducing Pakistan’s first AI-powered driving test car, a revolutionary step toward modernizing the country’s licensing system. Developed by the Punjab Traffic Police under the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the vehicle is designed to make driving tests more transparent, automated, and free from human influence.

• Internal facial recognition camera for candidate identification

• Biometric fingerprint verification machine

• Four external cameras for real-time driving behavior monitoring

• Automated safety checks, including seatbelt fastening and handbrake usage

Once a candidate enters the vehicle, the system activates instantly. It provides test instructions, displays a countdown timer, and monitors every move. The AI can even declare a failure automatically, such as when a candidate uses reverse gear more than once.
