The Food Authority, following orders from DG Muhammad Asim Javaid, is actively inspecting vehicles transporting milk across the province. Checking of 1510 milk-carrying vehicles resulted in the examination of 1,159,810 liters of milk supplied. During the conducted tests, 25,185 liters of milk were discarded.
Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Multan, and D.G. Khan divisions witnessed thorough inspections on 370, 358, 136, 77, 301, 205, 199, and 161 vehicles, respectively. Milk wastage occurred due to the use of substandard material, water adulteration, and dilution.

Every vehicle entering cities now undergoes rigorous inspection, with ongoing crackdowns on adulteration and counterfeiting. Intensified checks are happening in city shops and both internal and external routes. Severe legal action awaits those involved in fake food practices.
