Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes on Iran, warning that escalating tensions could push the already fragile region into deeper instability. He expressed full solidarity with the Iranian people and acknowledged the losses caused by the attacks.
In a statement, PM Shehbaz called on the United Nations and international community to act immediately to prevent further escalation, saying the strikes pose a serious threat to both regional and global peace.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Office also condemned the Israeli airstrikes, calling them a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law. The statement stressed that Israel’s military actions breach the UN Charter and warned of their dangerous consequences.
“Under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran has the full right to self-defense,” the Foreign Office stated.
Pakistan urged global powers to intervene and halt Israeli aggression before it triggers a broader conflict. Officials cautioned that continued provocations could result in serious destabilization across the region.
