The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is taking a big step to improve how fans watch domestic cricket. PCB has announced that it will soon launch a special mobile app and its own broadcast platform. This new app will let fans watch live domestic matches, see match highlights, enjoy player interviews, and possibly view behind-the-scenes content.
Abdullah Khurram Niazi, the Director of Domestic Cricket, shared the news. He said this move is part of a bigger plan to improve the way domestic cricket is seen and followed by fans. For years, local tournaments like the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and National T20 Cup have not received enough media attention. As a result, fans have stayed unaware of many talented local players.
With this new app, that is about to change. For the first time, Pakistan’s domestic cricketers will have a platform that is fully focused on showing their performances. Instead of relying on third-party TV channels or short clips on social media, PCB will now stream matches using its own cameras. Even if a match is not streamed live, its highlights will still be uploaded to the app.
The PCB has not yet shared the full technical details or the exact launch date, but the app is expected to be ready before the next domestic cricket season begins. This project is part of PCB’s larger plan to modernize domestic cricket in Pakistan. The plan also includes better tournament formats, improved match conditions, and new training programs for players.
This app will help fans connect more closely with Pakistan’s future cricket stars and make domestic cricket more exciting and accessible.
