Azam Khan, the explosive batter and son of former Pakistani captain Moin Khan, has been fined 50% of his match fees following the National T20 Cup encounter against Lahore Blues.
During the match, Azam Khan affixed a Palestine Flag sticker to his bat, leading to the imposition of the fine. Cricketing authorities have issued a stern warning, advising him against further use of such stickers, as continued actions of this nature may result in his suspension from upcoming matches.
Azam Khan is not the first cricketer to show his solidarity with Palestine during a cricket match. Earlier, England cricketer Moeen Ali had worn ‘Save Gaza’ wristbands while playing in an international match.
