In the newly held board activity of Connection Camp, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to keep Babar Azam as the skipper for the White Ball format and Shan Masood as the skipper for the Red Ball format.
It is reported that there is a strong confidence of the PCB in both the skippers, which states trust in the resultant guidance that shall be steady and confident.
It was at the camp that PCB warned all its participants: both the skipper and the players would have to perform without any sort of apprehension or reservations. The PCB board told the players that they need not be afraid of losing their position in the team and being intimidated by too much pressure when in a position of authority.
The idea is to create a very bold and encouraging ambiance among the team so that only performance matters at the end.
Besides discussing leadership, the camp also presented the opportunity for players to voice their concerns as well.
Sources indicate that several players have been speaking privately with the coaching staff over issues of local cricket.
The cricketers raised their problems and grievances with the coaches for better communication and solution in the future.
The PCB recently conducted a Connection Camp in Lahore to talk over some of the important issues regarding the betterment of cricket in Pakistan.
The camp focused mainly on addressing the present problems and determining how to restructure and enhance the efficiency of the national cricket team, Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer said.
