Pakistani Cricket team arrived in tight security in the historical city of Kolkata to play an important match with Bangladesh. Upon their arrival in Kolkata for the next leg of the 2023 World Cup, the Pakistan cricket team seized the opportunity to savor the city’s local cuisine.
After reaching Kolkata on Saturday, the Pakistani Cricket Team decided to take a break from the food at their hotel and delve into the authentic flavors of the region.
Despite travel restrictions, Babar Azam and his squad ensured they experienced some of Kolkata’s renowned dishes. They ordered Kolkata biryani, Chaap, Kebabs, Shahi Tukra, and the local dessert Firni from a popular restaurant in the Park Circus Area using an online food delivery app.
Security arrangements were tight for the team in Kolkata, with one floor of the team hotel reserved for Babar Azam and his players. Despite an inconsistent World Cup campaign, the Pakistan team has been making the most of their off-field experiences.

They have explored restaurants in various cities, including Hyderabad and Bengaluru, to savor local cuisine. Babar Azam even provided a playful review, comparing Hyderabad Biryani to Karachi Biryani in a video segment for the ICC.
On Monday, the team resumed training after a two-day break, with a focus on their upcoming crucial match against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens. Former Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram had criticized the team for their fitness after a surprising loss to Afghanistan in Chennai on October 23, followed by a narrow defeat to South Africa.
Pakistan’s chances of reaching the World Cup semi-finals rely heavily on other results, so they must end their four-match losing streak by defeating Bangladesh and New Zealand before facing England in their last league game in Kolkata on November 11.
