The prime minister of Pakistan in an interview with the Arab news channel Al Arabiya English stressed on the robust and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Delegates to the summit were addressed by the Nobel Prize recipient, whose speech was dedicated to discussing the current state of friendship and peace relations between the two countries, and who presented his clear-cut way forward to develop the areas of mutual cooperation.
PM Shehbaz emphasized the much appreciated advancements over the past couple of years in the diplomacy and trade engagements that have happened overwhelmingly with the Kingdom. He again emphasized the desire to cooperative mutually, especially in the sectors of mines and minerals, renewable energy and investment.
During the dinner with the visiting Saudi delegation, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz, got them to know that all Saudi support will be offered to Saudi investments in Pakistan, focusing mainly on swift future projects via joint ventures. The president in his speech reiterated the governments’ key role in creation of cohesive policy frameworks to navigate and smoothen the process of economic growth.
Pakistan’s relationship with Saudi Arabia was “historic” and “spanning centuries,” according to Prime Minister Shehbaz, and as a result, the two countries were in a partnership to promote regional progress and prosperity. He viewed his talks with The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Mohammad Bin Salman favorably noting having made real progress and achieving useful results in the struggles to resolve issues related to them.
The PM laid emphasis on his government’s mission of the fiscal stability, the main steps of which involve boosting up the agricultural sector by utilizing technology and the knowledge of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia related to information technology. He stressed the need for joint efforts in the training of Pakistani youth for employment in the Kingdom which would then help the country’s economy through remittances.
If we consider Pakistan current economic circumstances first, Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed that the government would direct its efforts toward reform and improvement of the performance of different sectors. He underscored the advantages from the possible collaboration with several regional entities from Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Turkey and China in terms of IT and investment.

In short, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s words are an expression of the will to strengthen the bilateral relations and to create a common well-being between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. However, pushing trade, investment, and economic reform from a strategical perspective, both countries are at a receiving end of developing better partnership for growth and development between the nations.
