Los Angeles, March 3, 2025 – The 97th Academy Awards, held at the iconic Dolby Theatre, celebrated the best in cinema with a night full of surprises, glamour, and historic wins. The film ‘Anora’ emerged as the biggest winner, taking home the Best Picture award. Directed by Sean Baker, ‘Anora’ also earned Baker the Best Director and Best Original Screenplay awards.
Top Acting Honors
Adrien Brody won the Best Actor award for his powerful performance in ‘The Brutalist’, marking his second Oscar win. Mikey Madison took home the Best Actress award for her role in ‘Anora’, delivering one of the most surprising victories of the night.
First-Time Acting Winners
This year’s ceremony also saw other first-time acting winners, including Kieran Culkin, who won Best Supporting Actor for his role in A Real Pain, and Zoe Saldana, who won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Emilia Pérez.
