The response to the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2022-23 has been overwhelmingly positive, with 652,155 students from 143 universities across Pakistan applying to receive a personal laptop.Building upon the success of the previous phases, where nearly one million laptops were distributed, the government aims to award 100,000 laptops to deserving students. These laptops will provide students with the necessary resources to excel in their educational pursuits.
The selection process for the laptop award ensures fairness and transparency. Students’ applications are thoroughly reviewed and verified by designated focal persons at their respective universities or higher education institutions. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) generates merit lists based on the online system, which will be made available online.
