The Pakistani nation is celebrating the 147th Birthday of Quaid-i-Azam, the founder of the nation, also known as ‘Baba-i-Qoam.’ Despite commemorating his birthday, we remain a politically divided and highly polarized nation that seems to have forgotten the Quaid’s message of unity.
On the occasion of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s 147th birthday, celebrations took place across Pakistan. Gun salutes, a change of guard ceremony, and special programs organized by various organizations marked the day.
Quote of Quaid-e-Azam:
Our object should be peace within, and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial friendly relations with our immediate neighbours and with the world at large.
President Dr. Arif Alvi emphasized following Jinnah’s vision for national unity and democratic values.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar highlighted Jinnah’s principles of “unity, faith, and discipline” as guiding principles for the nation.
The Foreign Office acknowledged Jinnah’s remarkable leadership and vision, calling for upholding his ideals for a better future.
Meanwhile, former prime minister and PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif said that the country, despite the passage of 76 years, was still struggling to create a Pakistan that was envisioned by the Quaid.
“But we are determined to fulfill Quaid’s dream of making Pakistan a developed country with hard work and honesty,” he promised in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
