NASA’s satellite images reveal hazardous smog over Lahore and Multan

Smog continues to blanket Pakistan, and according to the Air Quality Index, Lahore has now become the most polluted city in the country. This list includes several other Pakistani cities, but experts have left people stunned by revealing that Pakistan’s smog is visible even from space.

According to American media, thick and hazardous smog that has engulfed eastern Pakistan and northern India since last month is clearly visible in satellite images.

NASA’s recent satellite images show such intense smog over Lahore and Multan this past weekend that roads and buildings disappeared beneath it, with only dense haze visible in the images.

According to the United Nations, health risks are extremely high for over 10 million children under the age of five in Pakistan’s most affected areas.
