Lahore residents can now effortlessly obtain their driving licenses online through a newly introduced learner driving license application initiated by the Punjab government as part of the Driving License Management Systems.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the user-friendly application, emphasizing that citizens can conveniently secure a learning driving license from the comfort of their homes. The government extends its services to facilitate the issuance of learning driving licenses at patrol posts, service centers, and police stations.
Highlighting the added convenience, Naqvi mentioned the initiation of learner license services at police station front desks, simplifying the process for citizens. This initiative ensures that citizens no longer need to venture outside or endure lengthy waits to obtain their licenses.

Punjab caretaker government approved a significant increase in the learner driving license fee, effective from January 1, 2024. The fee has risen from Rs60 to Rs1000, with an exception for United States citizens and Pakistani nationals residing in the US, Canada, or any other country, who can acquire a driving license for $100 online.
Additionally, the provincial cabinet has adjusted fees for light and heavy vehicle driving licenses, along with the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) driving license. This move marks a pivotal step towards modernizing and streamlining the licensing process for the benefit of Lahore’s residents.
