Catering company owner and accomplice arrested in Lahore after allegedly assaulting a seven-month pregnant waitress lured to a house on the pretext of work, police say investigation underway.

Police have arrested the owner of a private catering company and his accomplice over the alleged rape of a pregnant employee in Kahna, officials said.
According to police, the victim, a waitress working for the catering company, was called to a house in a private housing society on Defence Road on the pretext of work. Investigators say the owner and another man (named Abbas and Azam) then assaulted her.
Authorities said the woman was seven months pregnant at the time of the incident and was also physically assaulted when she resisted.
Police responded after an emergency call to helpline 15 and traced the suspects using technology-based tracking from Johar Town, leading to their arrest. The suspects, identified as Abbas and Azam, have been handed over to the gender crime cell for further investigation.
A case has been registered at Kahna police station under the relevant sexual assault laws. SP Model Town Shehrbano Naqvi is supervising the probe and said those involved in the exploitation of women would not receive leniency.
