PTI Chairman Imran Khan has claimed that a list of 23,000 party workers has been drawn up, adding that over 10,000 were in prison.
“They are political workers and many are being subjected to violence. Keep those guilty in prison but release the rest because most of them were not there [in the May 9 riots.
“It is my request that they (the government) are finishing politics and this is a plan to wind up democracy.”

Punjab Interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that women taken into custody following violent protests in the country on May 9 were being treated in accordance with the law.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, he said that the police was ensuring that female officials were present if women were being taken into custody. He alleged that the PTI, which has been saying that women were being harassed in jails, was doing “propaganda”.
Naqvi further said that all those involved in the attack on the Lahore Corps Commander House would be held accountable. Renowned actress Sanam Javed Khan recently stirred up a storm in the entertainment
