KATOP Delegation Explores Collaborative Ventures with NUST in Energy Storage
A delegation from KATOP, a prominent Chinese company specializing in Lithium-Ion Battery solutions, embarked on a mission to the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) on April 2, 2024, to explore potential collaboration avenues.
The delegation, led by Vice President Zhou Yan, featured key members including PMO Manager Aqeel Khan, Project Delivery Manager Wasif Noor, and Muhammad Javed Iqbal, an alumnus of SEECS 2012 and KATOP’s Pakistan representative.
Their visit commenced with a meeting with NUST leadership, including Pro-Rector RIC Dr. Rizwan Riaz and DG Projects Dr. Saeed Ur Rehman Sarwar. Discussions revolved around potential partnership opportunities in the realm of Lithium-Ion Battery technology and its applications.The delegation toured USPCASE labs, witnessing NUST’s cutting-edge energy storage research.
At SEECS, the delegation observed industry-academia collaboration, highlighting partnership potential for joint projects and technology transfer. The delegation concluded their visit with a tour of NSTP, gaining insights into NUST’s dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem. They observed startup nurturing and innovation support, reinforcing NUST’s holistic approach to fostering entrepreneurship.
