Oscar winner, Hollywood Actress Julia Roberts has broken her silence on the recent death of her ex-boyfriend, Matthew Perry, who passed away at the age of 54.
Julia Roberts expressed her sorrow over the sudden loss, emphasizing the heartbreak of someone so young passing away. Reflecting on their friendship in the early 1990s, Roberts fondly recalled her guest appearance in the most successful sitcom “Friends” during its second season and praised the welcoming cast.
“The sudden passing of anybody so young is heartbreaking,” she told “Entertainment Tonight.” “I think that you know, it just helps all of us just appreciate what we have and to keep going in a positive way as best we can.”
Perry’s memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” revealed the unique courtship between him and Roberts, involving romantic faxes and lengthy phone calls. The two dated in the mid-1990s but eventually split in 1996 due to Perry’s struggles with addiction.
Despite the challenges, Roberts eventually agreed to appear on “Friends” in a role that developed romantic feelings for Chandler Bing.
