British film producer and former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Jemima Khan, sustained injuries after a hiking accident on Lion’s Head Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, during her New Year’s vacation.
Jemima Khan, who was hiking with friends and family, fell while descending from the summit, resulting in injuries to her ankle and foot. She was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment.
In an Instagram post, Jemima humorously reflected on the experience, writing, “Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town. Embracing the highs and the lows of 2025 – incredible views from the summit of Lion’s Head with friends & family, and then a tumble & an interminable hobble down in the dark.
Happy New Year folks. ”The post included photos of her in a hospital bed with a protective walking boot and another of her smiling with crutches.
Jemima, who has two sons, Suleiman and Qasim, with Imran Khan, reassured her followers that she was stable and recovering. The couple was married from 1995 to 2004, a total of nine years.
Despite the painful fall, Goldsmith expressed gratitude for the well-wishes she received and shared her optimism for a speedy recovery.
