Police officials said Islamabad Police SP Adeel Akbar allegedly took his own life near Serena Chowk. He reportedly grabbed a pistol from his gunman and shot himself in the chest. The senior police officer was critically injured and was rushed to PIMS Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries despite doctors’ efforts to save him.
