Imad Wasim, all-rounder of Pakistan Cricket Team, has officially announced his retirement from international cricket. This has drawn the curtain on his illustrious eight-year career.
“In recent days, I have been doing a lot of thinking about my international career and I have come to the conclusion that now is the right time for me to announce my retirement from international cricket,” expressed the 34-year-old in a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Expressing his sentiments, Imad stated, “I extend my gratitude to the PCB for their unwavering support throughout my career; it has been a privilege to wear the green. Every match, whether ODI or T20I, has been a dream realized. With new coaching and leadership on the horizon, I’m excited for the future of Pakistan cricket.”

Imad conveyed his appreciation to the passionate Pakistani fans, saying, “I would like to thank Pakistan fans for always supporting me with such passion. I now look forward to focusing on the next stage of my playing career away from the international stage.”
Imad marked his international debut against Zimbabwe in May 2015. He leaves behind a legacy that includes 55 ODIs and 66 T20Is for Pakistan, where he notched up 109 wickets and scored 1,472 runs. Imad played a crucial role in the team’s triumph at the 2017 Champions Trophy.
