A surprising revelation has emerged from the Al-Bahira region in northern Egypt, where a resident has come forward with a startling assertion that his spouse, believed to be a woman, is actually a man.
This revelation, which has surfaced two years after their engagement, has ignited extensive discussions across Egyptian media platforms and social networks, triggering a variety of responses.
The individual making this claim disclosed to a news agency after prolong engagement that his wife possesses both male and female physical attributes. Initially, he had shared this information with the in-laws, who suggested a surgical procedure as a potential solution.
However, despite seeking advice from medical professionals, the matter remained unresolved. As a result, the husband pursued an amicable separation with the in-laws, who initially resisted. Eventually, through mediation, a decision was reached in his favor. Nonetheless, the in-laws insisted on retaining the dowry. The separation process is expected to remain discreet.
After two-years engagement, the husband also revealed that his wife had lived as a boy until the age of nine when her name was changed by the family due to the emergence of predominant female characteristics.
In response to these allegations, the woman refuted her husband’s claims by explaining that a corrective operation during her childhood had addressed a birth defect. She strongly asserted her complete womanhood and expressed a willingness to undergo a medical examination to substantiate her position.
Adding complexity to the situation, the woman stated that she had experienced a miscarriage due to violence inflicted upon her. She accused her husband of making baseless accusations with the intention of defaming her and her family.
