Hoor Al Qasimi, President and Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, has been awarded a special French honor called the “Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters”. This award was given by the Embassy of France in the UAE during a ceremony held at The Flying Saucer in Sharjah.
The French government gives this award to people who have made important contributions to art, literature, or have helped build strong cultural ties between France and the world. It has been awarded since 1957.
Hoor Al Qasimi was recognized for her amazing work in promoting art and culture in Sharjah, across the UAE, and internationally.
The event was attended by H.E. Nicolas Niemtchinow, Ambassador of France to the UAE, Stéphanie Salha, Advisor for Cooperation and Cultural Action, and many other guests.
