The Pakistan football squad, consisting of 18 players, safely landed in Saudi Arabia after departing from Islamabad International Airport early this morning. Accompanying them is the head coach, Stephen Constantine, along with additional specialist coaches and backroom staff, making the total group count 31.
With four days left for practice, the team is gearing up for their match against Saudi Arabia. Although Somalia has shown interest in a friendly match with Pakistan during this time, the likelihood of it happening seems low.
The upcoming match between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan marks the beginning of both countries’ journey in the 2nd round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Scheduled for 9:30 PM (Pakistan Standard Time) on November 16, 2023, the event will take place at Al-Fateh Stadium.
This marks a historic moment for Pakistan, as it is the first time in 76 years that the country has qualified for the 2nd round of a FIFA World Cup qualifier.
