Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has announced a significant leadership reshuffle, appointing Vandana Suri as Executive Director, Home Care, and elevating Srinandan Sundaram as the new CEO of Unilever International. Suri returns to HUL’s senior leadership ranks after a series of impactful stints across business verticals in India and Southeast Asia. Within HUL, she has overseen the premium laundry portfolio and earlier served as Vice President for Skin Care & Colour Cosmetics, where she accelerated premiumization through new formats and high-growth categories.
HUL CEO and Managing Director Priya Nair praised Suri’s appointment, highlighting her “deep understanding of consumers, markets and ecosystems,” and her ability to lead multicultural teams with “high performance and empathy.” Nair expressed confidence that Suri will take the Home Care division “to even greater heights.”
Sundaram’s move to Unilever International marks a milestone in a career spanning multiple leadership roles within HUL. A management trainee turned senior executive, he has spent nine years on the Management Committee, shaping growth across customer development, digital marketing, media, commerce, and major business verticals.
As Executive Director for Home Care, Sundaram led the portfolio to decisive market share gains. His strategy-driven approach repositioned the Home Care business toward future-ready segments while transforming Vim from a dishwashing brand into a broader master brand spanning dishwashing liquids and surface cleaners. Prior to that, he spearheaded the Nutrition & Ice Cream division, strengthening Tea’s category leadership and integrating the Health Food Drinks portfolio acquired from GSK Consumer Healthcare.
Nair acknowledged his “immense contribution to HUL’s growth journey,” thanking him for steering multiple businesses through large-scale transitions.
