Lahore — In a heart-wrenching incident that has shaken the city, three students from LACAS Johar Town campus tragically lost their lives when their car plunged into the Lahore Canal, reportedly due to overspeeding.
The victims have been identified as:
-
Muhammad Ali (Grade 10)
-
Muhammad Hamza Ali (Grade 11)
-
Muhammad Mustafa Amjad (Grade 11)
According to eyewitnesses, a Honda City lost control and veered off the road near Doctors Hospital in Johar Town, plunging into the canal. The car was reportedly overspeeding and traveling from the PCSIR Society towards Thokar Niaz Baig when the accident occurred.
Rescue 1122 teams responded swiftly and retrieved the bodies from the canal. The deceased were transported to Jinnah Hospital, where their families were met with unspeakable grief.
This incident raises painful but necessary questions:
🛑 Who is responsible?
Are parents at fault for allowing underage, unlicensed teenagers to drive on busy highways?
Or is it the recklessness of youth, who ignore safety and warnings, putting their own lives—and others’—at risk?
This tragedy should serve as a stark wake-up call to both parents and teenagers. Driving is a responsibility, not a thrill. No life is worth risking for a few moments of speed or freedom.
💔 Our hearts go out to the grieving families. May Allah bless the departed souls with eternal peace and grant patience and strength to their loved ones.
🤲 May Allah protect all our children from harm and keep everyone safe from such devastating tragedies.
