Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) starts in Jeddah and will conclude on December 9, 2023. This will be the third edition of RSIFF.
In its third edition this year, Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) stands as a magnificent celebration of global cinema, providing a stage for both emerging and established filmmakers to present their compelling stories and narratives.
Starting last night in Jeddah and concluding on December 9, the ten-day RSIFF, though relatively young, consistently draws an array of global superstars. The festival serves as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s ambitious initiative to position itself as the cultural and film hub of the Arab region.

The jury for competitive films includes acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann, who serves as the president of the main feature film competition. Alongside him, notable figures such as ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ breakout star Freida Pinto and ‘Suicide Squad’ actor Joel Kinnaman will also be part of the jury panel.
This year’s edition boasts an extensive and illustrious list of attending stars. Hollywood heavyweights such as Diane Kruger (‘Helen Of Troy’) and Halle Berry are among, those expected to grace the event. With over 140 movies from more than 50 countries being screened, the festival will also feature star-led masterclasses, luxurious fashion house parties, and exhibitions.
Bollywood A-listers Ranveer Singh (’83) and Katrina Kaif (‘Tiger 3’) are expected to attend.
Bollywood movie mogul Karan Johar, who has directed and produced blockbusters like ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, will also spearhead a masterclass discussing his journey in Hindi cinema. And, that’s just one of the masterclasses. There are many more.
