JEDDAH: Hajj pilgrims now have access to a range of premium services aimed at improving comfort, accessibility, and spiritual focus during the pilgrimage. Amenities include specialized tents, gourmet meal options, personal care kits, and 24/7 medical support.
Hajj operator Abdullah Ali bin Mahfouz highlighted several upgrades this year, such as improved pillows and mattresses, in-tent prayer areas, and massage chairs. “We’ve focused on even the smallest details to enhance pilgrims’ rest and overall experience,” he said.
The services are designed to accommodate all pilgrims, including those with mobility challenges. Dedicated staff assist wheelchair users, and sermons are delivered in Arabic, English, and Urdu to ensure broader accessibility.

Operator Mohammed Hamed pointed out additional features, including sleeping spaces with dividers, charging ports, and reading lights. To reduce crowding, meals are delivered directly to where pilgrims are seated.
While VIP Hajj packages have drawn criticism for potentially overshadowing the pilgrimage’s spiritual essence, service providers emphasize that these offerings are aligned with Islamic values and aim to meet the varied needs of pilgrims.
These initiatives are part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to modernize and elevate the pilgrimage experience while maintaining its spiritual foundation.
