In a heartbreaking incident in Badin. A young woman named Fahmida Abro, aged 22, was brutally murdered by her grandfather, Adam Abro. The tragic event happened after Fahmida returned home following several days away. According to police, Adam Abro slit her throat and later surrendered himself to authorities, claiming that the act was an “honour” killing.
Officials reported that Fahmida had left her home to marry someone of her own choice. A decision her family strongly opposed. Local residents said that the man she intended to marry had allegedly deceived her. Leading Fahmida to come back home on the same morning of the incident. Sadly, just hours after her return, she was found dead.
DSP Abdul Rahim Khaskheli from Fazil Rahu confirmed that Adam Abro walked into the police station and confessed to the crime. He has been taken into custody, and a formal murder case is being registered against him.
Fahmida’s body was moved to a local hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. After completing the necessary legal procedures, her body was handed back to the family for burial.
