Zulfikar Ali Bhutto took to social media to announce that his sister, Fatima Bhutto, got married in a Nikkah ceremony at their family home in Karachi’s 70 Clifton.
The ceremony was intimate and took place in their grandfather’s library, with only Fatima’s loved ones in attendance. Zulfikar explained that due to the difficult circumstances faced by the country, it would have been inappropriate to celebrate lavishly.
Fatima is an accomplished author, having written several books and novels, and is the granddaughter of Pakistan’s former prime minister, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. She graduated from Columbia University and the School of Oriental and African Studies and is known for her non-fiction writing.
