In a tragic incident in India, three brothers lost their lives after the car they were traveling in fell off an under-construction bridge in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. According to Indian media reports, car was en route from Badaun to Faridpur when, it took the route suggested by Google Maps. The GPS system indicated the path over the Ram Ganga River, but the bridge, still under construction, was not visible on the road ahead.
As per media reports, the car plummeted 50 feet, causing the instant death of three young men, including two brothers. The family members disclosed that the driver and passengers were relying on Google Maps for guidance, which failed to show the construction warning for the bridge.
Family members expressed their frustration, stating that had the local authorities put up any barricades or warning signs, this unfortunate tragedy could have been avoided. The local police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
