The gold price in Pakistan today saw a major rise on Thursday, marking one of the biggest single-day increases in recent weeks. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold went up by Rs8,300 per tola, reaching Rs443,062. This increase came as international gold rates climbed amid global market uncertainty.
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs7,116 to Rs379,854, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold were sold at Rs348,212 after a rise of Rs6,524. The surge reflects steady investor demand and a growing interest in precious metals as safe-haven assets.
In the international market, gold prices rose by $83 per ounce, reaching $4,207. Analysts say that ongoing economic challenges and shifting currency trends are driving investors toward gold, boosting prices globally. The gold price in Pakistan today followed this upward trend, mirroring changes in global markets.
Silver prices also moved higher. The price per tola of silver rose by Rs228 to Rs5,662, while the rate for 10 grams increased by Rs196 to Rs4,854. In the international market, silver traded at $54 per ounce after a modest gain of $2.28.
Experts believe that if global demand continues to grow, gold prices in Pakistan could remain strong in the coming days, keeping both investors and buyers alert to further changes in the bullion market.
