Islamabad, Pakistan – Google Developer Groups (GDG Islamabad) has officially launched one of its most ambitious DevFest seasons, aiming to train over 700 developers across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The initiative focuses on accelerating local expertise in AI, cloud technologies, mobile development, and modern app engineering, crucial areas in Pakistan’s rapidly evolving tech ecosystem.
The 2025 DevFest is structured into two major phases: the Road to DevFest workshops and the Main DevFest Conference, scheduled for 14 December 2025 at the Ramada Hotel by Wyndham, Islamabad.
Phase 1: Road to DevFest Workshops
The ongoing workshop series has attracted hundreds of developers eager to gain hands-on experience with Google technologies. Sponsored by Junoon Pakistan, the sessions are free for selected participants and hosted at NIC Islamabad and Innovista Rawalpindi.
Highlights include:
-

To ensure inclusivity, GDG Islamabad partnered with WECON to provide AI training for female entrepreneurs and students. Ali Naqi, Co-Manager of GDG Islamabad, conducted a session on using NotebookLM for academic, business, and creative applications.
Phase 2: Main DevFest Conference
The Main DevFest 2025 Conference will bring together leading tech experts for keynote speeches, technical tracks, panel discussions, and community networking opportunities. Powered by Bogo Liv with BookKaru as the ticketing partner, the event promises to provide deep insights into AI, cloud computing, and mobile app development. Tickets are limited and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
GDG Islamabad aims to position itself as a leader in AI education and developer upskilling, strengthening Pakistan’s digital ecosystem. The conference is expected to foster innovation, collaboration, and exposure to the latest trends in technology.
By hosting this initiative, GDG Islamabad is ensuring that developers gain practical experience, technical mentorship, and professional networking opportunities, helping them stay competitive in the global tech landscape.
