Javeria, a woman from Karachi, has arrived in the Indian city of Kolkata to marry her Indian fiancé. According to ‘NDTV,’ Javeria entered India through the Wagah border near Lahore, where her fiancé Sameer Khan and his family welcomed her with drum beats. The wedding of the two will take place in the first week of January next year.
Before this, Javeria had attempted to travel to India twice, but her visa application was rejected due to the restrictions imposed amid the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking to journalists upon her arrival in India, the Pakistani woman said, “I have been granted a 45-day visa, and I am very happy to be here. I am receiving so much love just upon my arrival.”

She confirmed that her wedding with Sameer will take place in the first week of January next year. Previously, when her visa applications were rejected twice in a row, she had expressed hope that this would mark a good start to a new life. She mentioned, “My family (in Pakistan) is very happy, and I can’t believe I have been granted an Indian visa after five years.”

Regarding her marriage, Sameer Khan said he saw Javeria’s picture for the first time on his mother’s phone. He recalled that it all began in May 2018 when he was studying in Germany and saw Javeria’s picture on his mother’s phone, which sparked his interest. He informed his mother that he wanted to marry Javeria.
Sameer expressed, “My mother is very happy that we are getting married in January.” He further stated that friends from Germany, Spain, America, and other countries will arrive in India to attend their wedding.
